About Comedy Cares Benefit
LOCAL comedians inviting LOCAL people to a special night at the Funny Bone Comedy Club (560 S Prairie View Dr, WDM, IA) to help out a LOCAL family in need. The show takes place on Tuesday, November 18th from 7-9PM. 100% of the proceeds are going to purchase gifts and necessities for a designated Des Moines family during the holidays! The Funny Bone Comedy Club is not selling tickets, to purchase tickets or make a donation with a credit card at: http://dmcomedycares.tumblr.com/(You DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to purchase tickets. Also, please remember when buying tickets to LEAVE A NAME FOR THE RESERVATION so that I know who the tickets go to the night of the show. Email joshaltoncomedy@gmail.com with any questions.) I’m comedian Josh Alton (joshaltoncomedy.com), and DMCC is something that I started this year. The idea is to gather some of Des Moines’ best comedic talent, put on a show at a local venue, and raise money to buy gifts and necessities for a needy local family during the holidays. In fact, 100% of the proceeds will be used to help out this family! Not many charities can claim that. The comedians are donating their time, and the Funny Bone is donating the venue for the night. The comedy show is going to take place on Tuesday, November 18th from 7-9PM. The lineup for the night includes local funny men Joel Fry, Marc Von Ahnen, Tim Schifsky, Jeff Caudill, Bill Blank, John Bush, and myself as the host of the show. Tickets are $15 and are available now on this webpage or at the door on November 18th. Again, 100% of the money raised will go towards helping out the designated family, which consists of a single mom and 6 kids. Let’s pull together like Iowans do and give this family a holiday to remember!
